Description

characters from my novel.

Manee- the main character. 15 during the bulk of the book. Thoughtful, melancholy. Has troublesome powers. Likes to draw.

Stephanie- Manee’s best friend and crush. Outgoing, but seems to have trouble keeping friends. Has secrets. Enjoys math.

Mai- Manee’s sister. 3 years older. .Very passionate, a busybody, family oriented, tends to push herself. She’s good at language and literary things.

Zack- Mai’s boyfriend. Met her in creative writing club. Like Mai, seems to be a bit of a busybody and into family, but seems somewhat more easygoing than her.

Samyung- Manee and Mai’s father. Mai inherited his devotion to family and overprotective tendencies, Manee seems to have inherited his sensitivity and thoughtfulness. Likes to cook.

Emma- one of the three members of the art group Manee’s in. Hyperactive, seems to have no filter.Seems to have been frends with Jackson since the beginning of time.

Jackson- the other art grouper. In contrast to Emma, is very quiet. When he speaks, the words are often restrained and well chosen.

Mr. Barnes- Manee’s subsitute history teacher, but also started an art club for troubled kids. Is attractive, and Stephanie makes it known SHE finds him attractive, so Manee s initally a bit standoffish.

Callie- only a major character during the beginning of the book (when Manee is about 13) Isn’t doing well in school or with her family. Is very large and abrasive towards other children, so thought of as kind of a thug by Manee at first.

Brenda- Manee’s absent mother. Left when she was eight. Manee blames her powers.

Tony- Stephanie’s older brother. Same age as Mai. Manee doesn’t really know why they seem to violently hate each other.

Sage- Tony’s girlfriend. Seems to sort of go with the flow.
